Teaching
A newborn baby is fully alive, but still needs to grow. New life in Christ is the same. Acts 2 shows the very first believers doing a few simple things again and again, and the church grew strong.
The Word. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, which we now have in the Bible. Keep the daily reading habit from Lesson 2. After this study, continue through the Gospel of Mark, then Acts.
Prayer. Prayer is simply talking with God, and listening. Jesus gave His disciples a pattern in Matthew 6:9–13, the Lord’s Prayer: honour God, seek His kingdom, ask for daily needs, receive and give forgiveness, and ask for protection. You do not need special words; speak to Him honestly, anywhere.
Fellowship. The early believers met together often, in the temple and in homes. Hebrews 10:25 warns against giving up meeting together. Faith grows best in family, not alone. That is why Sunday services and Friday Home Fellowship matter: we encourage one another and carry each other’s burdens.
Baptism. In Acts 2:41, those who received the message were baptised. Jesus commanded it in Matthew 28:19. Water baptism is a public sign that you belong to Jesus and have begun a new life. If you have not been baptised, speak to a pastor about the next baptism class.
Serving and sharing. Jesus sends every disciple to make disciples (Matthew 28:19–20). Use your gifts to serve in a ministry, and tell others what God has done for you. You do not need to be an expert; you only need to be honest about your story.
Growth is slow and steady, not instant. Small daily steps, taken with God’s help and with His people, add up to a changed life.
Reflect
- Which of the five habits (Word, prayer, fellowship, baptism, serving and sharing) is strongest in your life right now? Which is weakest?
- Who is one person who could encourage you in your faith, and whom you could encourage?
- Who is one person you could share your story with in the next month?
Respond
Pick one next step and do it this week:
- Join a Friday Home Fellowship (5:00 PM).
- Attend a Tuesday or Thursday prayer service (5:00 PM).
- Ask a pastor about water baptism.
- Visit a ministry you would like to serve in.
- Start the next study on this platform.

Pray
Father, thank You for the new life You have given me. Help me to grow in Your Word, in prayer, and with Your people. Use my life to point others to Jesus. In His name, Amen.
